Resto Private & Group Dining

Thank you for considering Resto for your large party or special event. 

We have been fortunate to receive great critical acclaim: two stars (New York Times), four stars (New York Magazine), Best New Restaurant 2008 (New York Times).  In 2013, we were rated as a Recommended Restaurant by the Michellin Guide. 

Our knowledgeable and friendly staff is well versed in our extensive Belgian beer list and the thoughtful wine list which focuses on a varied selection of European wines. The menu is crafted using traditional French technique, with an emphasis on seasonal, mostly local, farm fresh ingredients.

Resto offers both semi private and private space with several options for dining.  For Semi private events bookings are available for 8-20 people.  Our dedicated events team will work with you to create the perfect event with a menu tailored to your needs.
Resto’s main dining room is a space suitable for every occasion.  The Rustic décor compliments the esoteric wine list and meat focused menu. Don’t forget the selection of more than one hundred Belgian beers.  We can accommodate up to seventy-five guests for a formal sit down dinner.  A larger cocktail style event can be hosted for up to one hundred guests.  Bookings may be made for brunch, lunch and dinner. 

Food & Beverage Packages

Brunch: $25 per person – Available Sat & Sundays 10:00am – 4:00pm
Plated dining: (required for parties of ten or more)

-Set two-course menu with two appetizers, and three entrees served family style
-Unlimited Bloody Mary’s, Mimosas, coffee, juice $15 Per Person Supplement  

Lunch: $30 per person – Available Monday – Friday 12:00pm – 4:00pm
Plated Dining:  (required for parties of ten or more)

-Set three course menu with two appetizers, three entrees, and dessert served family style
-Beverage Package including Wine, Beer, & Spirits $35 & $65  

Dinner: $55 per person – Available Monday – Friday 5:00pm-11:00pm
Plated Dining:  (required for parties of ten or more)

-Set three course menu with choice of two appetizers, three entrees, and dessert plated family style
-Beverage Package including Wine, Beer, & Spirits $35 & $65  

Large Format Feast: (available for 8-20 people, requires at least one week advance notice)
-Three Courses 10-12 preparations out of the animal including every bit from head to tail

We require a 25% deposit to reserve a large format feast.  We will only charge your credit card in the event of a cancellation.  You must submit a booking form two weeks before your large format feast to guarantee your reservation.  Any cancellation within the two weeks of your reservation will result in forfeiture of the deposit.


Movable Feasts & Catering

If the event you have in mind is located anywhere other than 111 East 29th Street we would point you in the direction of our catering division, Resto’s Moveable Feast.

We have accommodated intimate dinner parties to wild feasts. The core of the Resto Moveable Feast is original, expressive and exciting. We offer standard and bespoke menus and driven by the season and style of the event. In addition, we can provide all elements of production for your event, from lighting to music. Our staff is knowledgeable, professional and will make sure your guests are handled with care.

One of our unique Movable Feast options is La Caja China. La Caja China is a Chinese cooking box and generally regarded as the best way to roast a whole animal. The Caja China is used on site and preparation will begin 4 to 5 hours before the start of your event.

Nose-to-Tail Large Format Feasts

Recently featured on the Food Network, Time Out and Serious Eats, Resto’s Large Format Feast is a unique experience.

The large format feast is simple. Pick an animal from one of the many farms we work with each day. Chef Preston Clark will compose an elaborate nose-to-tail meal for you and your friends. Come to Resto. Our staff will pair your meal with one of the many large format (between 1.5 and 9 liters) beers and wines on our list. Eat. Drink. Cancel your plans to operate heavy machinery.
