Parkside Restaurant Reviews

My family and I enjoyed Sunday brunch. We were worried that we would not be able to be seated because we didn’t have a reservation but we did. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary and my mom tried their special peach Mason. I had the fried chicken breakfast bowl and it was delicious. The servers were very friendly and I believe I will be back.

Food was good but not as good as I expected. I ordered the boneless short rib benedict and the poached egg was a mess and cold by the time it got to me (cold yolk, not the best). Other than that I’m sure it would have been better. The hash was a big portion and good, would of been better if the taters were whole and a little crunchy (everything kinda mushed together). Side of bacon was cold and not fresh as you can see in the picture. We had to ask for our silverware after getting our food. I recommend you make a reservation. We were sat right away but there was a wait for those who didn’t make a reservation. I will definitely give Parkside another try, hopefully it was just an off day. Servers were nice and other food options did look good.

This is quite the place with character. The food was extraordinary. Got the honey buffalo wings for an appetizer. They were cooked to perfection and SO good. So good that they were eaten before I could snap a picture.

For lunch, I got the BLT with extra bacon with a Caesar Salad. Beyond amazing.

I had a great experience at Parkside. We went on a Saturday afternoon and saw people waiting outside the door to get in. I’m glad we didn’t let this deter us because the wait was not long and they were seating people quickly and efficiently. Once seated, our waitress greeted us and she was friendly and attentive. I ordered a cheeseburger with romaine, tomato, onion, and cheese. French fries were my side. Let me start off by saying the French fries are delicious. There’s no way you would have caught me sharing them after that first bite. The burger was also delicious. I’m pregnant so I had to order well done, I normally enjoy a medium rare. I wasn’t expecting it to be great–boy, was I wrong. I thought I couldn’t put my fries down, now I couldn’t put down my burger. They did an excellent job and I hope to be back soon!

This was a fairly good experience past the anxiety of trying to find parking! We had a reservation so that helped. They have a really good selection of beer per my husband. We ordered the short rib poutine and it was really good. I had the Prime Rib Burger, minus arugula and it was phenomenal! One of the best I have eaten actually. My husband got the Shrimp n Grits but they lacked flavor and not much chorizo. The shrimp were good, but he wasn’t overly impressed with the rest. I definitely had the better choice. We wanted to try the dates but they were out. I wouldn’t mind returning!

Cute restaurant in downtown Raleigh. Bacon wrapped figs were delicious. My burger was amazing. They were very short staffed but service was still awesome. Will go back next time in NC

Really good chicken and waffle sandwich. Chicken has a spicy taste to it but not spicy. Very interesting taste. The tater tot hash is very good.

Came here during restaurant week, and strangely enough the dishes we ate were not on their regular menu. Great taste though.

We had fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese with crackers. A nice spice gave a kick to the appetizers, and the tomatoes had the perfect combination of tenderness and crispness.

The schnitzel was a little more tough than I expected. I personally may be more inclined toward the Wiener schnitzel rather than a German schnitzel, which is what this was, so perhaps the texture was due to the type of meat.

The desserts were slightly disappointing. My strawberry shortcake was really short of cake, I dare say. Either the cake already melted off somehow or there was no cake in it in the first place! The banana pudding was delicious but nothing to write home about.

Vibe of the restaurant is casual and very comfortable. We went on a rainy day and I believe the air was not working, as they had several fans running in attempt to cool down the restaurant (it didn’t work).

Neat little spot. Has a really good vibe. It was simple and done well, just didn’t wow us. Had the banana foster Challah French toast. The bananas were just uncooked and not cooked like you would expect with a bananas foster. The sauce was more like a soup than a syrup. Overall the flavor was good though. The chorizo biscuits and gravy lacked chorizo. It was different neither good nor bad. The bacon was good. The tater tot hash was just basic and needed seasoning.

Yum!!! Ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and chicken and fried chicken biscuit bowl. Both were amazing! So glad we were able to be immediately sat outside. But, for indoor seating, you’ll probably want to book a reservation.
