The Pressroom Restaurant Reviews
Great food, great vibe and great drinks.
The Fungi pizza is absolutely a must and the fries are the bomb. Their drink menu is changing constantly and they have all these great combinations I’m sure that you will not be disappointed. I always have a great experience when I go there.
Really excellent spot for fine dining, or a casual drink. I tried the steak tartare which was fantastic and the crab & shrimp Avocado dish. The tartare had the perfect blend of flavors from the olive oil to the steak and fresh baked bread. Not only was the crab plentiful, the avocado was perfectly fresh which highlighted the flavorful crab. Additionally, I requested a drink not on the menu, check out this salty dog with black sea salt, pretty, but more importantly a lovely and refreshing blend of flavors. Check the Pressroom out for date night, client dinner or happy hour. I look forward to coming back and trying more tasty items. The service was top notch & the venue has updates and modernity which really emphasize a calm and classic vibe.

Under new ownership 2022. Love the outside location by the big fountain… Unfortunately our food wasn’t as good as before. The flatbread wasn’t quite baked it almost tasted day old… And the fries were a very different recipe. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t amazing.
It will be a shame to see the Pressroom go!
The menu is limited, but a good size and the food is always excellent. Unless you are picky you should be able to find something that you will enjoy.
Drink wise they have a good cocktail menu, but the bar tenders know their stuff if you want something else. They always have a good variety of quality beers on draft and a couple of unique draft offerings. The wine selection is good as well.
The price and ambiance definitely put the Pressroom in to the fancy category, but it is well worth it as a place to go out when you want to make a night of it.
We also loved their outdoor section and bar. I have done some lunch meetings and events here, both worked quite well, and it can be a nice place to just pop in for a drink.
Best cocktails and dinner in Lancaster greater area. Was in town for business and had walked around a couple different restaurants with my business partner before deciding on the press room. It was the best last resort decision I have ever made. We had the zucchini fries to start, which had the perfect amount of breading and full of flavor. The garlic aioli and jam dipping sauce was great. We decided to have a couple drinks and that’s when we met Ashley. When I say I have had the best cocktails of my life I am not exaggerating. My coworker and I had to stop each other from ordering before we got too carried away. I went with the salmon for dinner, perfectly seasoned and out of this world. Coworker had the vegetable lasagna. it had good flavor but heavy on the vegetables (no pasta). I will make this a priority stop for dinner when I come back to Lancaster. Go here for dinner and stay for the drinks.
We really enjoyed our dinner at The Pressroom Restaurant. The staff was very friendly, helpful and fast. The food was excellent, from the guacamole (excellent cumin tortilla chips) to the pizza (very tasty) or the meat (perfectly cooked with delicious homemade truffle fries). Great ambiance in a lovely place, reasonable prices with a large choice of food, an overall great experience.
Was looking forward to coming back to visit an old favorite under new ownership and sadly was left disappointed. Very unorganized at the front of house, even with a reservation. We did not get a server until 20 minutes after being seated, he did not tell us his name, he did mention he was running around because they were short staffed (fine, I get it). Drinks took exceptionally long to come, and were missing part of the order. Finally was able to order dinner after some time waiting, and was told that they were out of something the waiter suggested we order. Food did come out very quickly, however my steak was extremely rare to the point where it was cold and I ordered it medium. The server admitted it looked underdone and brought it back. By the time it came back my table was already done eating. The missing drink order finally made its way to the table as we were about to get the check. The food was ok but we wont be coming back for special celebrations like we used to. We are however very happy to see Kevin back, he is the absolute best!
The first time I came to this place I loved so much we decided to go for the second time . Disappointed I’m not sure if they switched chef’s but food was really bad the Seafood pasta was hard and not fully cooked. My husband’s steak tasted like burnt they claimed it was a Ribeye Steak but I can tell you it was not, we ordered medium and it was overly cooked and hard with fries that were very dry for a 57$ steak I would expect some respect and be served a plate that it meets The standards of price. Again is not about the cost or the Money is about the quality. No complaint about the drinks or the service but if they want to attract good customers please take this feed back and train your staff how to handle situations with customers.
Not ready to be compared to the old press room yet. Wait staff was great and patient but nothing else was memorable. Burger had to be sent back to be cooked (not made medium rare to medium but actually cooked), meatloaf tasted like a frozen meal. Entire tap list and bottled beer menu was out of order or stock. Might try again in 6 months but still a lot to be worked out.
Honestly not impressed. Waited over 20 minutes for a glass of wine. When we went to order our meals we were told that the restaurant was out of a lot of items, such as fries and steak for the wedge salad. The food came out and two of us asked for “house side salads” with our meals and were given salads in a large bowl – we didn’t think much of it except for when we got the bill they were $12. Dressing on the salads were scarce too. The restaurant states they are open til 11pm but when we got there and were seated around 9pm the staff was already cleaning up and doing breakdown and prep for the next day. Not a great environment to eat in when you feel like the place is “closing”. We are not from the area and are in town for a wedding, but we will not be returning to the press room.
