Where can I see the rest of One Piece?

One Piece is one of the longest running and most popular anime series of all time. Originally created as a manga by Eiichiro Oda in 1997, One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they explore the vast ocean in search of the legendary treasure known as “One Piece” in order to become the next Pirate King.

With over 1000 episodes and chapters, One Piece has amassed a huge following worldwide. However, depending on where you live, you may not have access to the entirety of the series. This raises the question – where can you watch or read the rest of One Piece if you’ve caught up to the latest release?

Where to Watch the One Piece Anime

For most fans, the One Piece anime is the easiest and most convenient way to experience the series. As of October 2022, there have been over 1000 episodes of the One Piece anime produced.

However, due to licensing restrictions, the episodes available can vary drastically depending on region and platform. Here’s where you can find the largest collections of One Piece episodes to watch:

Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll is the leading online anime streaming platform, however its One Piece catalog is lacking compared to others. In the United States, only the latest 5-10 episodes are available at any given time. Availability is worse in other regions like South America and Africa.

If you want to watch the latest One Piece episodes each week, Crunchyroll is a solid (and legal) option. But it lacks the full back catalog.

Funimation

Funimation has licensing rights to the entire One Piece anime series in the United States and Canada. This spans over 930 episodes from the beginning through recent releases in Japanese subtitled format.

Funimation also produces the English dubbed version, but those episodes are released at a much slower pace, with around 750 dubbed episodes available currently. Still, Funimation is the best option for North American viewers to watch the entirety of One Piece.

AnimeLab

For viewers in Australia and New Zealand, AnimeLab has the complete One Piece catalog with both subs and dubs. Given the limited licensing region, AnimeLab is the go-to for One Piece fans down under.

Wakanim

Wakanim is the French streaming provider with rights to One Piece in France and nearby countries like Russia and Scandinavia. Both sub and dub versions are included. Availability is nearly identical to Funimation for North America.

Hulu & Netflix

In the United States, Hulu and Netflix have partial episode ranges from the beginning of One Piece with about 600-700 episodes on each. The full series is not available, so they should only be used to supplement another streaming platform. Availability also varies for each service in other countries.

Pirate Streaming Sites

Outside of the main licensed platforms above, your only option for watching One Piece is unofficial “pirate” streaming sites. These sites host One Piece episodes without permission, typically collecting them from various sources.

Prominent examples of pirate sites with full One Piece catalogs include 9Anime, GogoAnime, AnimeDao, AnimeKisa, and AnimeUltima. However, we cannot recommend or endorse piracy as it is damaging to the creators. Proceed carefully.

Where to Read the One Piece Manga

As the original source material by creator Eiichiro Oda, the One Piece manga is many fans’ preferred way to experience the story in its purest form. As of October 2022, there are over 1060 chapters.

The manga can be read digitally through various subscription services or free but unofficial scanlation sites. Print versions are also available:

Viz Media Manga Plus

Viz Media has the publishing rights to the One Piece manga in North America, both digitally and in print volumes. On their Manga Plus platform, you can read the latest 3 chapters for free each week.

To read the entire manga, you’ll need to subscribe to Viz’s digital Shonen Jump vault. This grants unlimited access to read One Piece online.

Manga Pill

Manga Pill is a scanlation site hosting unauthorized translations of One Piece chapters. Scanlations are frowned upon by creators, but Manga Pill and others have the entire One Piece manga available for free reading.

Physical Volumes

You can purchase printed volumes of the One Piece manga to own permanently. Viz Media has published over 100 volumes in English so far. These can be purchased digitally through apps like Kindle and Comixology, or physically at most major booksellers.

The entire manga story so far is contained in these printed volumes. But it’s a major investment to buy them all.

When Will One Piece End?

With over 1000 anime episodes and manga chapters so far, One Piece shows no signs of concluding yet. New chapters and episodes release each week. So how much longer will One Piece run and when will it finally end?

In a 2020 interview, author Eiichiro Oda estimated the manga is approximately 80% complete, with the ending planned for sometime within 5 years. However, predictions are unreliable – the story length often expands during writing.

Given the pace of recent storylines and the manga’s tendency to stretch out major arcs, popular estimates suggest One Piece will likely run for another 5-10 years at minimum. We likely have a lot more adventure still to come before the final island of Laugh Tale and the story’s conclusion.

One Piece Timeline Estimates

Year Manga Chapters Anime Episodes
2022 1060+ 1000+
2025 (predicted) 1300 1200
2030 (predicted end) 1400-1500 1300-1400

Conclusion

One Piece remains as popular as ever over 25 years after its start. With new content still continuously releasing in both anime and manga formats, there are plenty of upcoming adventures for fans to enjoy.

Catching up and following along each week with the latest One Piece storylines is easy through services like Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Viz Media’s platforms. Just be aware that availability varies by region. Unofficial sites can fill the gaps but may host pirated content.

Given author estimates, expect to journey alongside the Straw Hats for potentially another decade before the treasure of One Piece is finally revealed at Laugh Tale and the story comes to a close. But the ride will be well worth it.
